Role & Responsibilities:
 
 
 
You will be required to gain a good knowledge of Arm’s architecture IPs or Arm software stacks through close working with the worldwide application engineering teams and Arm's Product Engineering group. Then you are required to use this knowledge to support Arm's customers, including but not limited to Arm system bring up and software analysis domains. Your focus area will be Cortex-A architecture/software support.
 
 
The transfer of your knowledge will take a number of forms. Firstly, you will need to be able to provide comprehensive responses to customer enquiries. Such enquiries may be received by email, telephone or face to face meetings.
 
 
Secondly you will be required to provide in-depth technical training to Arm's customers. You will therefore be expected to be able to travel every six to eight weeks. You will also be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills and to be a professional presenter.
 
 
Thirdly you will be responsible for the generation and review of new product documentation, such as application notes, frequently asked question lists and user guides. This may include translation for local language support.
 
 
Finally, you must be reactive to the demands of both customers and sales and feedback requirements to Arm’s Engineering and Marketing groups.
  
 
Person Specification:
 
 
 
Qualifications:
 
Good university degree, in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science ideally, although other science graduates would be considered if they have relevant experience.
 
 
 
Experience:
 
2~5 years of relevant work experience about Arm software
Experience of working on Cortex-A CPUs or Arm systems is preferable
Experience of Armv7/v8 architecture knowledge is a bonus
Experience in one or more domains of power/performance/system profiling/optimization/debug is a bonus
A good understanding of the interaction between software and hardware is a bonus
Demonstrable experience of problem solving and debug skills
Experience of interacting with colleagues outside of China
 
 
Desirable:
 
Knowledge of the Arm instruction set/Architecture/CPUs
Hands on experience of ARM-based systems development or support
C/C++, assembler coding or other programming skills

Arm has established a Joint Venture (JV) in China with multiple Chinese investors and plan to start operating the JV company in Q1 2018. Once operational, the JV will license all of Arm Ltd Intellectual Property Group (IPG) products to China-based partners. In addition, the JV will develop new Arm-based IP and standards. The new products can be licensed to both Chinese partners via the JV and worldwide partners via Arm Ltd. The JV operates as two business units: China Business (JVCB), focusing on driving new opportunities and developing technology based on local requirements and Global Services (JVGS), providing expert local resources to support Arm’s global engineering and ecosystem developments.
  
Arm’s Partner Enablement Group (PEG) is responsible for providing high quality technical support to customers using Arm’s products. In order to do this, we have a number of Applications Engineering teams based at various locations around the world.
 
We are now looking for someone to join a team of Applications Engineers based in our Shanghai office. You will be under the JVGS organization while maintaining close relationship with global PEG teams. This role will encompass the provision of high quality technical support as part of a co-ordinated worldwide team.
